Reflection 2
나의 작품 설치는 지금으로부터 과거로 향한다. 또한 과거로부터 지금으로 투영된다. ‘지금과 과거’이기도 하고
‘지금이면서 과거’이기도 하다. 우리의 현재는 과거의 내가 투영된 것이고 우리의 잠재의식은 과거에 뿌리를 두고 있다.
‘유리’라는 물성은 특별하다. 소통하게 하면서 단절하게 하고, 구분 짓게 하면서 하나로 인식하게 한다. ‘여기’라는 공간에 ‘지금’이라는 순간의 무상함을 여러 겹의 투영이, 견고하지 않은 유리가 표현해 주기를 기대한다. 그 투영된 하나는 바로 ‘나’인 것이다.
Reflection 2
My work leans from present to past. Also, it reflects past to present. It is ‘Present and Past’ and also ‘Present but Past’. We cannot discuss the present without going through the past.
‘Glass’ is a very special material. It lets you communicate but also sever. It divides but also lets you embrace the division. It’s like a bridge and gap at the same time. I hope the vulnerability of the glass will deliver the transparency of my present to the past in this nowness of space.
